We share these thoughts, in honor of June, LGBT Pride month.
The short answer is – because it doesn’t matter whom you love. People are people. Love is love. It is something to be proud of. Authenticity is powerful and nobody should be shamed for standing in the sunshine.
This thoughtful post from a fellow doula in Atlanta who grew up in what she describes as “a swanky and organized gay bar,” sheds some light and great insight.
Have you ever felt isolated, scared, judged, hated by others or excluded because of who you are? Or maybe you know somebody who has suffered this treatment. Let’s change this.
We want our fellow humans to feel loved and cared for. The doulas at Buddha Belly are experienced and devoted supporters of LGBTQIA individuals and families. We take pride and joy in treating all people with respect and compassion throughout their childbearing years and beyond.
Buddha Belly doulas offer the same nonjudgmental physical and emotional support and guidance to every family regardless of gender or sexual preference.
Our hearts and minds are open and we welcome you and everyone.
