What if you cannot fit an in-person birth or baby care class into your busy schedule?

We’ve got you covered with our virtual birth and baby care classes!

Here at Buddha Belly we offer a number of different options for all of the classes that we teach. Making our classes accessible to you is a priority. For this reason, we offer both in-person and virtual options. Virtual classes are taught over Zoom by one of our fabulous certified childbirth educators. These classes are not pre-recorded, they are live! You get to meet your educator, ask questions and engage with the other students in the class in real time.

We have group virtual classes on the schedule and available every month. You can sign up for these classes directly on our website here. You can also choose to have a private virtual class that is just for you and your partner. Private classes are available upon request.

Are these virtual classes as interactive and fun as our in-person classes?

Yes! We have been teaching virtual classes over Zoom for more than a year now. So, of course, we have a lot of tricks and techniques up our sleeve to make them fun and engaging.

Our educators do live demonstrations and teach hands-on techniques that you and your partner can use in labor. We also guide you as you practice the comfort strategies and ensure that you are doing them correctly and effectively. There is also plenty of time in a virtual class for questions and discussion on any topic.

Additionally, we provide you with a detailed and easy to use course book for each of the classes that we offer. You can refer back to these materials any time you’d like. The Preparing For Birth course book will come in handy if you want a refresher as you get closer to your due date. And once your baby has arrived, the Newborn Care and Breastfeeding course book will be a resource for you when new questions arise.

There are a lot of reasons why some may choose to take virtual childbirth classes vs. in person classes. Here are some of the reasons:

1) You don’t have to leave your home.

This one is pretty obvious. For all of you home-bodies and introverts, being able to take a virtual birth class from home is pretty much the best thing ever. We know! And for tired pregnant people that would prefer not to have to get up and go, you can still do all of the valuable learning in class right from the comfort of your couch.

2) Scheduling and timing.

Group virtual classes are usually scheduled in the evenings or on weekends. If you work during the day, you can log in for your virtual class after you’ve had time to get home from work and eat dinner. This means you don’t have to drive anywhere taking up extra time. You can just get right into class! If you are planning to book a private virtual class, our educators will work with you to schedule it at a time that works best for you.

3) Social distancing.

With the pandemic still creating uncertainty in our community, social distancing is remains important to many families. Taking a virtual class provides you the option of learning with other pregnant couples while still being socially distanced. If either you or your partner are immunocompromised, a virtual class keeps you safe while still gaining the important childbirth knowledge you are looking for.

All of the birth and baby care classes that we offer as listed below can be done virtually:
