Exactly what I needed to have the birth of my dreams – Rebecca, Tampa

Postpartum Doula Rebecca and her kids

I’m not sure how to put into words how valuable it was to have Christie as my doula. She was amazing every step of the way while I was planning my VBAC.

Christie provided me with wonderful resources to help me prepare for the birth. She was always a positive voice even when things didn’t seem to be going my way. She had faith in my ability to have the birth that I dreamed about.

When labor finally began, it was so nice to have someone to call. Together we were able to make the right choice for me about how long to labor at home and when to go to the hospital. Her knowledge about birth is unmatched. She helped us make the right call about when to go to the hospital and we arrived at the perfect time. She gently reminded me of my preferences and benefits and risks of any decisions I was making during labor. She was a welcome voice and guide helping me get through each contraction. Through her actions, she helped my husband be a great partner in my labor too.

Christie’s support didn’t end at the successful VBAC birth of my daughter. She stayed by my side and helped me advocate for myself while I was getting stitches. She made sure we had everything we needed in the recovery area and in our postpartum room too.

As questions popped up after we got home from the hospital, Christie has been there for me. We cried tears of joy at the postpartum visit as we celebrated the success of my VBAC birth. Christie’s support and encouragement is exactly what I needed to have the birth of my dreams. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her and I wouldn’t have changed a single thing about my experience with her. Thank you Christie for being a supportive, caring, knowledgeable, loving doula and person! I am so happy you are a part of my birth story.
